Managing Your Cycle
WHAT YOU REALLY NEED AS A WOMAN.
I researched this book and put together the food selections and meal plans for one reason
YOUR OVARIAN CYCLE HAS SPECIFIC NUTRITIONAL NEEDS THAT AFFECT YOUR FEELINGS, EMOTIONS, FOOD CRAVINGS, AND BODY COMPOSITION.
My female clients over the years have all commented about how frustrated they feel at those times of their cycle when their body suddenly explodes with fluid retention, when food cravings make them put on kilos of weight, when they feel anxious and upset without reason... when they just feel like giving up.
One client said they feel like they're constantly fighting with their body just to have a normal life, and most of the time they felt like they were losing.
A womans body has constantly changing nutritional requirements because of the hormonal processes regulating your cycle.
On the outside you're supposed to manage being a woman, mother, business person, lover, etc, every day, which is quite a balancing act in itself.
This you on the outside has to keep up with all your life needs, while on the inside, at a given day in your cycle, your body is about to change dramatically.
There's no tolerance in these changes either. Your body doesn't care if that little black dress doesn't fit for a week while it prepares to ovulate. It doesn't care that you wanted to go dancing when your estrogen level spike. You can't have a little internal chat and say, "can you just hold off my PMT while I get through these couple of days of intense work"
Do you think that internal body change might affect how you handle life? You bet they do.
This book gives you the information to be more prepared for the changes.
Would you change your meal choices to include nutrition that your body needed, so you minimised fluid retention and chocolate cravings? Would you like to plan your month with more accuracy, knowing when you ovulate, and what foods will help your mood? Are you ready to forget the word diet?
What amazed me was this. I looked in libraries and bookstores in the United States, and asked the assistants 1 question. Do you have any books that show women what to eat, how much to eat, and when to eat, to support the nutritional requirements of their Ovarian Cycle? The answer was NO
That's why I wrote this book.
I researched everything I could find about the specific nutritional needs of your cycle.
Then I took all that information and found the normal, everyday foods which contained that nutrition.
Then I worked out when that food should be included in your meals during the month to avoid depletion of your nutrition stores.
THIS IS NOT A DIET.
THIS IS NOT A DIET.
THIS IS NOT A DIET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The changes that occur in your body, because of your ovarian cycle, occur at specific times.
It's easy then to eat the right food at the right day and week of your monthly cycle to maintain the correct levels of the nutrients your body needs.
Eating the right food every day, and in advance of your cycle needs, will help you stay lean, fit and happy as you balance your cycles demands.
Doctors, scientists and researchers have independently found foods, vitamins and minerals that when taken in the correct amounts, are capable of the following -
REDUCTION OF PMS SYMPTOMS.
STOPPING BINGE EATING AND FOOD CRAVINGS.
EASING CRAMPING AND BLOATING.
REDUCING FLUID RETENTION AND WEIGHT GAIN
MAINTAINING THE CORRECT HORMONE BALANCE THROUGH YOUR CYCLE
This book is an easy to use guide based on research fact. It tells you what foods are best to eat through the phases of your cycle, and how to combine them successfully to stay fit, lean, healthy and happy.
These foods will help your body store vitamins, minerals and nutrients for safe and simple weight and shape management; and reduce the physical and emotional seesaw effects of being a woman. You can finally give your body the nutrition it needs.
This may be the first time you have eaten to satisfy your body's need to be a woman.
