You must understand the following points before you begin:
  1. Muscle and fat are different substances and have different properties.
    They will NEVER be the same. Like a lion (muscle) and a jellyfish (fat)
  2. The fat in your body has come from lots of different foods. Fat in your
    food is not just where fat on your body comes from.
  3. Sometimes you can train too hard to lose body fat. Your body has a safe
    and comfortable range for using your body fat as food for exercise and life.
    Outside this range you’re working muscle, NOT burning fat.
  4. Your weight on the scales could be mostly fat, mostly muscle or a bit of
    both. The scales will never tell you.
  5. Dropping sizes does not always mean losing fat.
  6. Gaining weight (on the scales) does not always mean putting on fat.
  7. Don’t feed what you see in the mirror if you want to lose body fat.
  8. Don’t starve what you see in the mirror if you want to lose body fat.
  9. All food is OK in the right amount.
  10. Sometimes what we eat and drink IS NOT FOOD.
  11. You need fat in your diet every day.
  12. Some foods help lose body fat.
  13. If your liver can’t absorb fat your body can’t use it for energy.
  14. Once you’re happy with how your body looks you’ll be happy with what you weigh.
